This new Visual Nexus is a perfect solution for companies seeking to reduce their traveling costs at a time when oil prices are surging. Companies already equipped with video conferencing systems are also likely to expand their systems with the increase in usage. The Visual Nexus Ver3.2-3 responds to this trend, offering a highly stable system to process large amounts of data as operations expand. With the new functions, OKI enables companies and service providers to maximize system operation efficiency and reduce system operating costs.

The three main additions in this new release include:

1. Enhancement on basic functions for large-scale operation, allowing the system to register up to 5,000 users and devices to be managed on the video conference system, enabling 1000 devices to be connected simultaneously to the gatekeeper.

2. Function to disperse server load which averages out overall system load by identifying, from among multiple servers, the one with the least connection load and automatically allocating connections for individual devices.

3. Multi-tenant function to enable ASP operation. The number of service providers offering application services, including Saas, is expected to increase going forward. With the multi-tenant function, providers can set dedicated tenants for each user on a single system, which can then be managed independently. The system can then be shared while maintaining security among tenants. This function enables providers to add, delete and edit tenants, and setup a tenant manager for each tenant and authorize them to manage parameters such as user, group, conference room for each tenant.

The new version of Visual Nexus will begin shipping on July 15, 2008.

C3 software provides video, voice and data collaboration at the desktop, through a range of room-based systems, or on the move as a mobile system. It is designed as a ‘self-service’ videoconferencing solution requiring no technician support or advance call scheduling.

Updated features include: Reporting tools, designed to provide enterprises with the usage data required for charge back accounting and return on investment analysis and to provide administrators with the system data to manage capacity and troubleshoot issues; automated device selection, which removes the need for user intervention when switching between different cameras or audio devices; and Windows Vista support.
